ORDINANCE N0. 5271
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EMERGENCY PRODUCTS,
INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF LIGHT BARS AND SIRENS AND
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE
SUM OF EIGHT THOUSAND EIGHTEEN AND 66/100 ($8,018.66)
DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,
did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown
to advertise for bids for the purchase of light bars and sirens
to be received May 2, 1989; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when
and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the
provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;
and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall
at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 1989, as per published notice to
bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Emergency Products, Inc. for the
purchase of light bars and sirens for the sum of EIGHT THOUSAND
EIGHTEEN AND 66/100 ($8,018.66) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment
thereof.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 25th day of May,
1989.
