Ordinance No. 5,210890209 -15 ORDINANCE NO. 5210 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY SITUATION EXISTS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED NINETY -SEVEN AND 76/100 ($2,597.76) DOLLARS TO HAHN TRUCK SALES AND SERVICE CORPORATION FOR THE REPAIR OF A LADDER ON AN AERIAL TRUCK; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the ladder on Fire Department Unit 32 Aerial truck has suffered unforeseen damage; and WHEREAS, TEX.L.GOV- T.CODE ANN. S 252.022, provides that in case of unforeseen damage to public machinery, equipment, or other property, the requirement for competitive bids is not applicable; and WHEREAS, informal bids for the repair of a ladder on an aerial truck have been obtained, and Hahn Truck Sales and Service Corporation, is the low bid; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby declares that an emergency situation exists. Section 2: That payment to Hahn Truck Sales and Service Corporation of the sum of TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED NINETY -SEVEN AND 76/100 ($2,597.76) DOLLARS for the repair of the ladder on an aerial truck is hereby authorized. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
