Ordinance No. 5,180890112-11 ORDINANCE 5180 AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE PAYMENT OF TAXES BY WESTERN AUTO SUPPLY #6 ON ACCOUNT NUMBER 9905 - 018 -005 -2 FOR THE TAX YEAR 1987 WAS EXCESSIVE; APPROVING A REFUND OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY -SIX AND 44/100 ($2,246.44) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, Western Auto Supply #6 has applied for a refund of an overpayment of taxes on account number 9905 -018 -005 -2 for the tax year 1987 alleging a substantial error in the appraisal records; and WHEREAS, the Appraisal Review Board for the Harris County Appraisal District has found that the appraisal records for account number 9905 - 018 -005 -2 were incorrect and has corrected the records to conform them to the requirements of law; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, has determined that the January 31, 1988, payment of taxes on account number 9905- 018 -005 -2 by Western Auto Supply #6 was excessive in the amount of TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY -SIX AND 44/100 ($2,246.44); NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: authorizes payment 44/100 ($2,246.44) excessive payment the tax year 1987.
