ORDINANCE 5178
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AND TO ATTEST TO A DEED TRANSFERRING PROPERTY ON
PRICE STREET IN CONSIDERATION OF THE RECEIPT OF THE
SALES PRICE OF ONE THOUSAND AND N01100 ($1,000.00)
DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, City property located at 2 Price Street was
advertised for sale in the local newspaper pursuant to provisions
of Section 73 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall
at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 1909; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the value of such
property to be ONE THOUSAND AND N01100 ($1,000.00) DOLLARS; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby accepts the bid of Bay Area Rehabilitation Center
for the purchase of City property located at 2 Price Street,
being more fully described in Exhibit "A,° for ONE THOUSAND AND
N01100 ($1,000.00) DOLLARS.
Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute and attest to a deed conveying said
property to Bay Area Rehabilitation Center upon receipt of ONE
THOUSAND AND NO/ 100 ($1,000.00) DOLLARS as the sales price of the
property.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 12th day of
January, 1988.

TRACT ND. I.
Being a tract or parcel of land out of the Harvey Whiting Survey in
Harris County, Texas and being a part of that certain 5.8 acre tract of land
described in Deed from R. H. Pruett, et al to the City of Goose Creek dated
February 26, 1942 and recorded in Volume 1243 at Page 155 of the Deed Records
of Harris County. Texas, said tract being described by metes and bounds as
follows. to -wit:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of lot 1, Block 1, PRUETT ESTATE NO.
1 SUBDIVISION as reflected by the map or plat thereof filed for record with
the County Clerk of Harris County, Texas, on April B. 1948. under File No.
5159$4. said POINT OF BEGINNING being in the East line of the aforementioned
5.8 acre tract and located a distance of 30 feet South of the original north-
east corner of said 5.8 acre tract;
THENCE South 7 deg. 25 rain. nest along the East line of said 5.8 acre
tract and along the Nest line of Block 1 of PRUETT ESTATE SUBDIVISION NO. 1,
a distance of 141 feet to an iron stake for Southeast corner of tract here-
in described;
THENCE North 82 deg. 20 min. West parallel to and 171 feet perpendicular
distance from the North line of said 5.8 acre tract, a distance of 230 feet
to an iron stake for Southwest corner of tract herein described;
THENCE North 7 deg. 2S min. East parallel to and 230 feet perpendicular
distance from the East line of said 5.8 acre tract a distance of 141 feet to
an iron stake for Northwest corner of tract herein described;
THENCE South 82 deg. 20 min.. East parallel to and 30 feet perpendicular
distance from the North line of said 5.8 acre tract a distance of 230 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

An easement for ingress and egress over and across that certain tract or
parcel of land described as follows, to -wit:
Being a tract or parcel.of land out of the Harvey Whiting Survey in
Harris County, Texas and being a part of that certain 5.8 acre tract of land
described in Deed from R. H. Pruett, at al to the City of Goose Creek dated
February 26, 1942 and recorded In Volume 1243 at Page 155 of the Deed Records
of Harris County, Texas, said tract being described by antes and bounds as
follows. to -wit:
