ORDINANCE NO. 5122
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLSTATES CHEMICAL, HUNTER
CHEMICAL, PREMIUM SUPPLY, AND POLAR INDUSTRIES FOR THE
ANNUAL CHEMICAL CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY
THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF SEVEN THOUSAND THIRTY
AND 90/100 ($7,030.90) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did
authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to
advertise for bids for the annual chemical contract to be
received August 30, 1988; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when
and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the
provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;
and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall
at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 1988, as per published notice
to bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Allstates Chemical for Item No. 2 of
the annual chemical contract for the sum of FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY -
SIX AND 50/100 ($426.50) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Hunter Chemical for Items No. 3 and 6
of the annual chemical contract for the sum of THREE THOUSAND TWO
HUNDRED EIGHTY -EIGHT AND 36/100 ($3,288.36) DOLLARS, and
authorizes payment thereof.
Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Premium Supply for Item No. 4 of the
annual chemical contract for the sum of ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED
FOUR AND N01100 ($1,404.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment
thereof.
Section 4: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Polar Industries for Item No. 5 of the
annual chemical contract for the sum of ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED
TWELVE AND 10 /100 ($1,912.10) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment
thereof.
® Section 5: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
