Ordinance No. 4,95880324 -12 ORDINANCE N0. 4958 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND N01100 ($3,250.00) DOLLARS TO UNISYS CORPORATION AS THE SOLE SOURCE FOR PURCHASE OF THE 3270 EMULATION PACKAGE TO INTERFACE WITH THE COUNTY JIMS SYSTEM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE ®. DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the Police Department requires the purchase of a 3270 Emulation Package to interface with the County JIMS System; and WHEREAS, TEX.L.GOV'T.CODE ANN. 5 252.022 provides that when the functional requirements of the City can only be satisfied by one source, the requirement for competitive bids is not applicable; and WHEREAS, the requirement for a 3270 Emulation Package to interface with the County JIMS System machine can be satisfied by only one source, Unisys Corporation, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby declares that only one source can satisfy the needs of the City for a 3270 Emulation Package to interface with the County JIMS System. Section 2: That payment to Unisys Corporation, as the sole source, of THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND N01100 ($3,250.00) DOLLARS as payment for the above described communication software for the Police Department is hereby authorized. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
