Ordinance No. 4,95280324 -6 ORDINANCE NO. 4952 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY SITUATION EXISTS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF SEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND N01100 ($7,200.00) DOLLARS TO A. C. COLLINS FORD FOR A REBUILT CATERPILLAR MOTOR; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, a garbage truck motor, unit 3 -19, has suffered unforeseen damage; and WHEREAS, TEX.L.GOV'T.CODE'ANN. S 252.022, provides that in case of unforeseen damage to public machinery, equipment, or other property, the requirement for competitive bids is not applicable; and WHEREAS, informal bids for the repair of this equipment have been obtained, and A. C. Collins Ford is the low bid; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby declares that an emergency situation exists. Section 2: That payment to A. C. Collins Ford of the sum of SEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND N01100 ($7,200.00) DOLLARS is hereby authorized. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
