ORDINANCE NO. 4902
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HARLEY INDUSTRIES FOR
A DEUTZ ENGINE AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY
OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED
SEVENTY -FOUR AND 75/100 ($4,274.75) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did
authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to
advertise for bids for a Deutz engine to be received January 4,
1988; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when
and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the
provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;
and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall
at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 1988, as per published notice to
bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
40 hereby, accepts the bid of Harley Industries for a Deutz engine
for the sum of FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR AND 75/100
($4,274.75) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 14th day of
January, 1988.
