Ordinance No. 4,900.7 C1 L I C L� 80114 -9 ORDINANCE NO. 4900 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF DEER PARK LUMBER AND GLIDDEN COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF MASONRY, LUMBER, PAINT, AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF THIRTY - EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINE & 52/100 ($38,109.52) DOLLARS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of masonry, lumber, paint, and construction material to be received January 11, 1988; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., January 11, 1988, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Deer Park Lumber for the purchase of Item No. 1, masonry and construction material; Item No. 2, lumber and construction material; and Item No. 4, brick; for the sum of THIRTY -FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY -FIVE AND 52/100 ($35,425.52) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Glidden Company for the purchase of Item No. 3, paint; for the sum of TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY -FOUR AND N01100 ($2,684.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 3: This ordinance shall from and after its passage by the City Baytown.
