Ordinance No. 4,85471022 -12 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the Administration to advertise for bids to supply the City of Baytown with gasoline and diesel fuel, said bids to be received January 1, 1987; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall on January 8, 1987, as per published notice to bidders; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4635, the contract was awarded to the low bidder, Major Brand Oils; and WHEREAS, as is provided in that contract, the current contract holder has offered a renewal of the contract at the current prices; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That as provided in the current contract for gasoline and diesel fuel, the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby agrees to renew the annual gasoline and diesel fuel contract with Major Brand Oils for the sum of THREE HUNDRED TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY -SEVEN AND N01100 ($325,177.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
