ORDINANCE NO. 4842
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
ADDING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO COUNCIL DISTRICT NUMBER FOUR
® (4); REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 17 (1) of the Charter of the City of
Baytown provides that the City Council shall redistrict the City
if the growth of the City justifies; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed
territory described herein in a Council District; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: Council District No. 4 is hereby redistricted by
the addition of certain property which is described in the
attached Exhibit "A."
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby
repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the
extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this
ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and
governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception,
subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of
circumstances, shall for any reason be held unconstitutional,
void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of
the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application
to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after
ten (10) days from its passage by the City Council. The City
Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the
caption of this ordinance to be published in the official
newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10)
days after passage of this ordinance.

_ ANNEXATION FIELD NOTES FOR FOREST GATE SUBDIVISION
Being a 10.7389 acre tract out of the David McFadden Survey, Abstract No.
591, Harris County, Texas, said tract being Lot One (1) Block Six (6) of CEDAR
BAYOU ESTATES, as recorded under Volume 28, Page 29 of the flap Records of
Harris County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the existing city limit line, which is also the
easternmost corner of Jenkins— Holloway Park lying on tho border line between
the Christion Smith Survey A-69 and the David !McFadden Survey A -591, Harris
County, Texas:
THENCE North 09 deg. 57 min. 44 sec. West (called North 10 deg. 09 min.
00 sec. West) along the existing city limit line being, also, the West line of
the herein described tract a distance of 396.69 feet (called 396.8 feet) to a
1 inch iron pipe found for corner;
THENCE North 80 deg. 28 min. 33 sec. East (called North 80 deg. 30 min.
00 sec. East) along the North line of this tract, a distance of 1184.20 feet
to a 5/8 inch iron rod found for corner in the West line of Raccoon Drive;
THENCE South 09 deg. 30 min. 00 sec. East along the East line of this
tract. common with said West line of Raccoon Drive, a distance of 394.43 feet
to a 5/8 inch iron rod found for corner;
THENCE South 80 deg. 22 min. 00 sec. West along the South line of this
tract a distance of 1181.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the. herein
described tract, and containing within these calls 10.7389 acres of land.
