Ordinance No. 4,74070623 -2 ORDINANCE NO. 4740 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF SIX THOUSAND NINETY -FIVE AND NO /100 ($6,095.00) DOLLARS TO UNISYS COMPANY AS THE SOLE SOURCE FOR A 2MB MEMORY FOR THE MUNICIPAL COURT COMPUTER SYSTEM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the Municipal Court Computer System requires a 2MB Memory to prevent memory related shutdowns of the system; and WHEREAS, TEX.REV.CIV.STAT., art. 2368a provides that when the functional requirements of the City can only be satisfied by one source, the requirement for competitive bids is not applicable; and WHEREAS, the procurement of this 2MB Memory can be satisfied by only one source, Unisys Company, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas', hereby declares that only one source can satisfy the needs of the City for a 2MB Memory. source, of Section SIX payment to Company, AND NO /100 ($6, . 09500) DOLLARS as payment for the above described 2MB Memory is hereby Authorized.
