Ordinance No. 4,655Published in: THE BAYTOWN SUN Tuesday, February 17, 1987 Wednesday, February 18, 1987 70212 -16 ORDINANCE N0. 4655 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, DESIGNATING A TWO (2) HOUR TIME LIMIT PARKING ZONE; PRESCRIBING A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF TWO HUNDRED AND N01100 ($200.00) DOLLARS FOR EACH VIOLATION THEREOF; ® CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Section 18 -52 of the Code of Ordinances, the following portion of West Lobit Avenue is hereby designated and shall constitute a two (2) hour time limit parking zone: The south side of West Lobit Avenue between Decker Drive and Polly Street Section 2: The Director of Planning and Traffic is authorized and directed to cause the placement of appropriate signs at the above described location. Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 4: Any person who shall violate any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than One and No /100 ($1.00) Dollar nor more than Two Hundred and No /100 ($200.00) Dollars except minors who have passed their 14th birthday but have not reached their 17th birthday shall be punished by a fine of not more than One Hundred and No /100 ($100.00) Dollars. Section 5: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after passage of this ordinance.
