Ordinance No. 4,63070122 -9 ORDINANCE NO. 4630 AN ORDINANCE AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT #86 -04 TO URANUS PALTON FOR THE SUM OF ELEVEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN AND N01100 ($11,111.00) DOLLARS. WHEREAS, the City of Baytown's Community Development Program did advertise for bids for Community Development Program Rehabilitation Project #86 -04 to be received December 23, 1986; and WHEREAS, notice to all bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown, and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at the Community Development Office at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 1986, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Uranus Palton for the sum of ELEVEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN AND N01100 ($11,111.00) DOLLARS for Community Development Rehabilitation Project #86 -04, being the repair and rehabilitation of 1208 Yupon, providing that final payment will not be made to said contractor until completion and acceptance of the work by the owner and the Baytown Community Development Program. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of TEX. REV. CIV. STAT., art. 2368a, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of Five Thousand and N01100 ($5,000.00) Dollars or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than ten (10 %) percent or decreased by more than twenty -five (25 %) percent without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
