ORDINANCE NO. 4626
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY SITUATION EXISTS,
® AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF FOUR THOUSAND
THREE HUNDRED SIXTY -NINE AND 84/100 ($4,369.84) DOLLARS
TO LARRY'S TRUCK & EQUIPMENT SERVICE, INC. FOR THE
REPAIR OF FIRE DEPARTMENT PUMPER, UNIT 30; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, a Fire Department's 1967 Mack 1000 Gallon per
Minute Pumper, Unit 30, has suffered unforeseen damage; and
WHEREAS, TEX. REV. CIV. STAT., art. 2368a provides that in
case of unforeseen damage to public equipment, the requirement
for competitive bids is not applicable; and
WHEREAS, informal bids for the repair of this equipment have
been obtained, and Larry's Truck & Equipment Service, Inc. is the
low bidder; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby declares that an emergency situation exists.
Section 2: That payment to Larry's Truck & Equipment
Service, Inc. of the sum of FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTY -
NINE AND 84/100 ($4,369.84) DOLLARS is hereby authorized.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 22nd day of
