Ordinance No. 4,55760925 -1I ORDINANCE NO. 4557 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF THE GLOVE COMPANY, CLARK FIRE EQUIPMENT, AND TACKABERRY FOR THE ANNUAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF FOURTEEN THOUSAND SIXTY -FIVE AND 10/100 ($14,065.10) DOLLARS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the annual safety equipment contract to be received August 21, 1986; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2 :00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 1986, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of The Glove Company for Item No. 1 of the annual safety equipment contract for the sum of FIVE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SIXTY -TWO AND 60/100 ($5,962.60) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Clark Fire Equipment for Items No. 2 and 4 of the annual safety equipment contract for the sum of TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY -THREE AND NO/100 ($2,723.00) DOLLARS, and Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Tackaberry for Items No. 3, 5 and 6 of the annual safety equipment contract for the sum of FIVE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY -NINE AND 50/100 ($5,379.50) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
