Ordinance No. 4,45660508 —Z4 ORDINANCE NO. 4456 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BROOKSIDE EQUIPMENT SALE, INC. FOR THE REPAIR OF PARTS FOR A TRACK EXCAVATOR AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWO AND 42/100 ($5,402.42) DOLLARS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the repair of parts for a track excavator to be received April 24, 1986; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 1986, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Brookside Equipment Sales, Inc. for the repair of parts for a track excavator for the sum of FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWO AND 42/100 ($5,402.42) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown. The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, convened in special session on the 13th day of May, 1986, at its regular meeting place in the City Hall within said City, and the roll was called of the duly constituted officers and members of said City Council and the City Clerk, to -wit: Emmett 0. Hutto Fred T. Philips Perry M. Simmons Jimmy Johnson Ronald G. Embry Roy L. Fuller Rolland Pruitt Eileen Hall Mayor Mayor Pro Tempore Councilman Councilman Councilman Councilman Councilman City Clerk and all of said persons were present, except the following absentee(s): none , thus constituting a quorum. Whereupon, among other business, the following was transacted at said meeting: a written ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $6,350,000 CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES 1986; APPROPRIATING $6,350,000 OF PROCEEDS OF SALE THEREOF FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS; AND CONTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO was duly introduced for the consideration of said City Council. It was then duly moved and seconded that said ordinance be adopted, and, after due discussion, the motion, carrying with it the adoption of said ordinance prevailed and carried by the following vote: Ayes: Council members Philips, Johnson, Simmons, Embry, Fuller and Pruett Emmett O. Hutto, Mayor Nays: None Abstentions: None 2.
