Ordinance No. 4,37060123 -6 ORDINANCE NO. 4370 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SPERRY CORPORATION AND SOFTEC COMPUTER CENTER FOR THE PURCHASE OF STANDALONE MICROCOMPUTERS AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF TEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY -THREE AND NO /100 ($10,753.00) DOLLARS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of standalone microcomputers to be received January 14, 1986; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 1986, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Sperry Corporation for the purchase of Item No. 1 of the standalone microcomputers for the sum of SEVEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY- THREE. AND NO/100 ($7,183.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Softec Computer Center for the purchase of Item No. 2 of the standalone microcomputers for the sum of THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY AND NU /100 ($31570.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
