ORDINANCE NO. 4328
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF LOWERS, DEER PARK
LUMBER AND SHERWIN WILLIAMS FOR THE ANNUAL MASONRY,
LUMBER, PAINT AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS CONTRACT AND
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE
SUM OF THIRTY -NINE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED EIGHT AND
35/100 ($39,308.35) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the
Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the annual
masonry, lumber, paint and construction materials contract to be received November
12, 1985; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the
contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the
Charter of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, November 12, 1985, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the
bid of Lowe's for Item No. 1 of the annual masonry, lumber, paint and construction
materials contract for the sum of NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED THIRTEEN
AIVD 60/100 ($9,413.60) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the
bid of Deer Park Lumber for Items No. 2 and 4 of the annual masonry, lumber,
paint and construction materials contract for the sum of TWENTY -SEVEN
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY -SEVEN AND 75/100 ($27,527.75) DOLLARS,
and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the
bid of Sherwin Williams for Item No. 3 of the annual masonry, lumber, paint and
construction materials contract for the sum of TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED
SIXTY SEVEN AND NO/100 ($2,367.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City
Council of the City of Baytown, this the 26th day of November, 1985.
