ORDINANCE NO. 4185
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF AQUA UTILITY SUPPLY,
THE ROHAN COMPANY AND UTILITY SUPPLY COMPANY FOR THE
ANNUAL METER BOX CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT
BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF ELEVEN THOUSAND
ONE HUNDRED NINETY -SEVEN AND 45/100 (511,197.45) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the
Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the annual
meter box contract to be received June 11, 1985; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the
contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the
Charter of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, June 11, 1985, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the
bid of Aqua Utility Supply for Item No. 1 of the annual meter box contract for the
sum of TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY -ONE AND 45/100 ($2,241.45)
DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the
bid of The Rohan Company for Item No. 2 of the annual meter box contract for the
sum of THREE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY -ONE AND NO/100
($3,721.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the
bid of Utility Supply Company for Item No. 3 of the annual meter box contract for
the sum of FIVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTY -FIVE AND NO /100
($5,235.00) DOLLARS, and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City
Council of the City of Baytown, this the 27th day of June, 1985.
