Ordinance No. 4,07050214 -3 ORDINANCE NO. 4070 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH HARRIS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT TO ALLOW THE CITY OF BAYTOW'N A COMPUTER TERMINAL LINKED TO THE DISTRICT'S COMPUTER; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby approves an Agreement with Harris County Appraisal District to allow the City of Baytown a computer terminal linked to the District's computer and authorizes the City Manager of the City of Baytown to execute said Agreement. A copy of said Agreement is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown. Box 424 Baytown, TX 77562 Dear Mr. Stork: The Harris County Appraisal District has unit of government be permitted to have on -line base. Access will be permitted subject to the agreement. In addition, you will pay the District prior to connection the sm of $5,200.00 (Five Thousand Two Dollars), which is not refundable in whole or in part. Although the District will initially provide the requested access without additional charges, it will monitor its costs in permitting access to its data base; and it reserves the right to make reasonable cost -- related charges for such access in the future. By entering into this agreement, you agree that you will not disclose any irfomation which you may receive through access to the District's data base, the disclosure of which is prohibited by Section 22.27 of the Texas Property Tax Code or by any other applicable law. You will instruct each of your employees with access to the District's data base not to make prohibited disclosures. In addition, your unit will assume the responsibility for System and Data Security during the time the system is in use.- 3737 DACOMA — P.O.
