Section 2 That Subsection 12 1/2 (c) of the Code of Ordinances of the City .
of Baytown is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 12 ._1/2 -2. Flood hazard area regulations.
(c) With all applications for permits for structures in the

architect that the floodproofing method to be used is adequate :.to
withstand. the flood depths, pressures, velocities, impact And'
forces and the other factors associated with 100 -year flood shall` be
required. -. _This certification shall indicate the specific elevation On
relation to' sea level) to which such structures are floodproofed
This certification shall, in the case of elevated structures, also include
a soils test and an opinion by the registered professional engineer or
architect that the subsoil will support the proposed elevated structure
to withstand hurricane velocity waters and wave wash. Copies of these
certifications shall remain with the building permit.
Section 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms
of this ordinance are hereby repealed, provided however, that such repeal shall be
only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance
shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter
covered by this ordinance.
Section 4: If any provision, section, exception, subsection, paragraph,
sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any
person or set of circumstances, shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void or
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of
this ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to
this end all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
