Ordinance No. 3,988ay, rove wer LJ LV , November 2, 1984 ORDINANCE NO. 3988 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COU14CIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, PROHIBITING U -TURNS AT JHE INTERSECTION OF DECKER DRIVE (SPUR 330) ONBOUND) AT LOOP 201 (NORTH BOUND); PROVIDM FOR THE POSTING OF NO U-TURN SIGNS AT SUCH INTERSECTION; REPEALm CONFLICTING ORDRIANCE$ PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PRESCRIBIM A MAXIMUM rJENALTY OF TWO HLII.IDRED AND NO1100 (:200.00) DOLLARS FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUMJCAT- 'r. ION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, pursuant to the provisions of Article 6701d, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, does declare the following described location to be a restricted turn intersection by prohibiting u- turns, to-wit: Decker Drive (Spur 330) (Inbound) at Loop 201 (North Bound) Section 2: The Director of Planning and Traffic is authorized and directed to cause the proper signs to be posted at the above described location. ® Section 3: It shall be unlawful for a driver of a vehicle to disobey the instructions of the signs placed in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, unless at the time otherwise directed by a police officer. Section 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed, provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. Section 5: if any provision, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or the .application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void or • invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 6: Any person who shall violate any provision of this ordinance j shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a i fine of not less than One and NO /100 ($1.00) Dollar nor more than Two Hundred ® 1 and NO /100 ($200.00) Dollars except minors who have passed their 14th birthday but F. z'- 41025 -4A N`7 ...... ...... reached their 17th birthday shall be punished by a fine of not more than ne lziurdred and tliGMG ($100.00) Dollars and each violation shall constitute a ,`sepayete offense. -Section 7: This Ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from by the City Council.
