Ordinance No. 3,893,1 r� U t ORDINANCE NO. 3893 AN ORDINANCE AWARDWG THE CONTRACT FOR COMMLMTY DEVELOPMENT REHABILITATION PR03ECT 083 -04-25 TO URANUS PALTON FOR THE SUM OF EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE AND 501100 ($8,175.W) DOLLARS ttttttttttto rtttrrttttttttttttttttt *tttttt }ttttttttti t #srtttttwwt#- t }+tsst�* WHEREAS, the City of Baytown's Community Development Program did adve.tise for bids for Community Oevelopm -at Program Rehabilitation Project #83 -04 -25 to be. received June 1.2, 1984; and WHEREAS, notice to all bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was, published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown, and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at the Community" Development Office at 10:00 a.m., as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Uranus Palton for the sum of EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE AND 50/100 ($8,175.50) DOLLARS for Community Development Rehabilitation Project #83 -04 -25 being the repair and rehabilitation of 3404 Illinois, providing that no money will be paid to said Contractor until completion and acceptance of the work by the Owner and the Baytown Community Development Program. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of TEX. REV. CiV. STAI. art 2368a, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of Five Thousand and No /100 ($5,000.00) Dollars or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than ten (10%) _percent or decreased by more than twenty -lave (25%) percent without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
