WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at the Community

Development Office at 10:00 a.m., Per p published notice to bidders; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF

Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts
the bid of John Kidd for the sum of NINE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TEN AND
NO /100 ($9,110.00) DOLLARS for Community Uevelopment Rehabilitation project
#83 -04-20 being the repair and rehabilitation of 1605 Nolan Road, providing that no
money will be paid to said Contractor until completion and acceptance of the work
by the Owner and the Baytown Community Development Program,
Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. art
2368x, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change
order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of Five Thousand and No/100
($5,000.00) Dollars or less, provided that the original contract price may not be
increased by more then ten (10 %) percent or decreased by more than twenty -five
(25 %) percent without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 3s This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PAID by the affirmative vote of the City
Council of the City of Baytown on this the 24th day of May, 1984.
