LEAGUE; AUTHO'RIZBdG PAyMMTS OF PkEM[UMS PURSUANT TO THE 7ERMS OF SAID CONTRACT% AND r PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the Administration to advertise for bids to supply the City of Baytown with property and liability insurance coverage for the City of Baytown, said bids to be received March 21, 1983, and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 5:00 o'clock p.m., Monday, March 21, 1983, as per Published Mice to bidders and WHEREAS, the City of Baytown's consultant the Wyatt ConDpany, has advised the Administration of the fiscal advantages of annual renewals of policies with our selected agents; and WHEREAS, the selected agent has offered renewals which do not substantially vary for property coverages and WHEREAS, the City of Baytown is a member of the Texas Municipal League Joint Insurance Fund which acts as agent for member cities in securing, analyzing, and awarding bids for liability coverages, and makes those coverages available to the City of Baytown, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS- . Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby renews property coverages, including facilities, EDP, Boiler and Machinery, and contractors equipment coverages, with our contracted agent Jim Bond and Company. C C] r: L j 40524 4a>_- � Y pY:s Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with James Bond and Company and the Director of Personnel is hereby authorized to make payments of premiums pursuant to the terms of said contract, said base premium being $75,061 Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby expands its contract with the Texas Municipal League Joint Insurance Trust Fund to include liability coverages for the City of Baytown. E J Section 4: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to the expansion of the City of Baytown's contract with Texas Municipal League and the Director of Personnel is hereby authorized to make payments of premiums pursuant to the terms of said contract, said base premium being $186,698.00. This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
