WHEREAS, in case of unforeseen damage to public Property, machinery or
equipment, the requirement of publishing notice and tatting cornpetative bids is not
applicable; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has taken informal bids for the costs of
the necessary steel sheet piling and its installation, and Mississippi Valley Equipment
Co. and Shirley Construction Co., Inc. are the respective low bidders; K3W

Section 1: That the City Council hereby declares and finds that an s

requirement for formal notice i
and bids is hereby waived.
Section 2: That the bid of Mississippi 'Valley Equipment Co. for the purchase
of steel sheet piling is hereby accepted, and payment of the sum of Five Thousand

Four Hundred Twenty and No /100 ($5,420.00) Dollars is hereby authorized.
Section 3: That the bid of Shirley Construction Co., Inc. for the installation
