ORDINANCE NO. 3771
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE TRAFFIC
CONTROL SIGNALS ON EAST TEXAS AVENUE AT DAMMINAI RI
CITIES BEACH ROAD; DESIGNATING DA14UNNA AT EAST TEXAS
AVENUE AND TRI CITIES BEACH ROAD AT EAST TEXAS AVENUE
AS STOP INTERSECTIONS; AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF STOP
SIGNS; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PRESCRIBING A
MAXIMUM PENALTY OF TWO FRED AND NO1710 ($208.00)
DOLLARS FOR THE VIOLATION 7 EREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR
71-E PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 13AYTOWK
TEXASi
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, pursuant tc the
provisions of Article 6701d, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, does declare the following
described intersection will no longer be a signalized intersection, to -wit:
East Texas Avenue at Danubine/Tri Cities Bench Road
Section Z: The director of Planning and Traffic is authorized and directed to
cause the removal of the traffic control signals at the above described location.
Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Taxes, pursuant to
the provisions of Article 6701d, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, does declare Me
following described intersections to be stop intersections, to -wit:
Denubina at East Texas Avenue
Tri Cities Beach Road at East Taxes Avenue
Section 4: The Director of Planning and Traffic is authorized and directed to
cause the proper signals to be posted at the above described locations.
Section 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms
of this ordinance are hereby repealed, provided however, that such repeal shall be
only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance
shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter
covered by this ordinance.
Section 6: It shall be unlawful for a driver of a vehicle to disobey the
Is Instructions of the traffic control signal devices placed in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance, unless at the time otherwise directed by a police
officer.

Section 7: Any offense under this chapter for which another penalty is not
provided is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not leas than One (31.00) Dollar
nor more then Two Hundred ($200A0) Dollars, except that minors who have passed
their fourteenth birthday shall be punished by a l"we of not more than One hundred
($100.00) Dollars, and each violation shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 8: This Ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from
its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directe4 to give notice
hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official
newspaper of the City of BayM,wn at least twice within ten (10) days after the
passage of this ordinance.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City
Council of the City of Baytown, this the 9th day of February, 1964.
