Ordinance No. 3,74731214 -23 ORDINNNCE N0. 3747 AN ORDINANCE AWARDM THE CONTRACT FOR COM LMTY DEVELOPMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT 01113 -03 -15 TO URANUS PALTON FOR THE SUM OF NINE yHCtJSAND SEWN BRED 7WTEEN AND 591100 ($9,713..59) DMLARS. tt! }t #ttitttttt }tlt4ilttttl tit }lttt #ill ttil f!l tttttt #_titttt�llitA1Fttitt4lftt}ti WHEREAS, the City of Baytown's Community Development Program did advertise for bids for Community Development Program Rehabilitation project #83 -03 -15 to be received December 6,1983; and WHEREAS, notice to all bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown, and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at the Community Development Office at 10 :00 a.m., as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXASi Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Uranus Palton for the sum of NNE THOUSAND SEVEN HUED THIRTEEN AND 59/100 ( #9,713.59) DOLLARS for Community Development Rehabilitation project d83 -03 -15 being the repair and rehabilitation of BOB Turner, providing that no money will be paid to said Contractor until completion and acceptance of the work by the Owner and the Baytown Community Development Program, Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. art 2368a, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costa of Five Thousand and No /loo (55,000.00) Dollars or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than ten (ID %) percent or decreased by more than twenty -five (25X) percent without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
