WHEREAS, the City of Baytown's Community Development Program did
advertise tar bids for Community Development Program Rehabilitation Project
#83 -04-10 to be received November 3, 1983; and
WIiEREAS, notice to all bidders as to the time and place, when and whore
the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Se -tion 74 the
of
Charter of the City of Baytown, and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at the Community
Development Office at 10:00 a.m., as per published notice to bidders; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE (CITY OF BAYTOW 4
TEXASt
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the
bid of Uranus Patton for the oum of EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED THIRTY
SEVEN AND NO /100 ($8,137.00) DOLLARS for Community Development 7
Rehabilitation Project #83 -04-10 being the repair and rehabilitation of 3215 Iowa,
providing that no money will be paid to said Contractor until completion and
acceptance of the work by the Owner and the Baytown Community Development
Program.
Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. art
2368a, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change
order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of Five Thousand and No /100
($5 ,000.00) Dollars or less, provided that the original contract price may not be
increased by more than ten (10 %) percent or decreased by more than twenty -five
(25 %) percent without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
