Ordinance No. 3,682PUBLISHED IN: The Baytown Sun 30922 -4 Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1983 Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1983 ORDINANCE NO. 3682 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS; DESIGNATING GULFWAY DRIVE AT SPRING LANE AS A YIELD INTERSECTION; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PRESCRIBING A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF TWO HUNDRED AND NO /100 ($200.00) DOLLARS FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. ## iF## i(-#: EiE##-+ t#+ 4##*## 7F# �FitiE### i{- iE# iEkM-##**; t-##- iF#*### kiE# tiFiFkiF# iEiEiF# iF## iEi /-+E #�k #�I-iF3F # ##;Eil- fF3F #dF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, does declare the following described intersection to be a yield intersection, to -wit: Gulfway Drive at Spring Lane Section 2: The Director of Planning and Traffic is authorized and directed to cause the proper signs to be posted at the above described locations. Section 3: It shall be unlawful for a driver of a vehicle to disobey the instructions of the signs placed in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, unless at the time otherwise directed by a police officer or traffic control signal. Section 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed, provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. Section 5: Any person who shall violate any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than One and No /100 ($1.00) Dollar nor more than Two Hundred and NO /100 ($200.00) Dollars except minors who have passed their 14th birthday but have not reached their 17th birthday shall be punished by a fine of not more than One Hundred and No /100 ($100.00) Dollars. Section 6: This Ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after the passage of this ordinance. 30922 -4a INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 22nd day of September, 1983.
