ORDINANCE NO. 3627
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3592 TO CORRECT
THE AMOUNT OF PREMIUM PAYMENT AUTHORIZED FOR THE
CITY'S PROPERTY AND LIABILITY INSURANCE; REPEALING
CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.

WHEREAS, on April 14, 1983, the City Council of the City of Baytown passed
Ordinance No. 3592, which awarded the City's property and liability insurance
coverage to James Bond & Company; and
WHEREAS, the report sent to the City which summarized the various bids
contained a typographical error which caused the bid of James Bond & Company to be
shown as $170,356.00, rather than the correct amount of $174,208.00; and
WHEREAS, the respective position of the competing bids is not changed by the
correction of this error; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3592 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and attest to a contract with
James Bond & Company and the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make payments of premiums pur-
suant to the terms of said contract, said base premium
being $174,208.00.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of
this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only
to the extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be
cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered
by this ordinance.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
