ORDINANCE NO. 3600
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF STERLING COMMER-
CIAL SOUND FOR A SPEAKER SYSTEM FOR THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED
FORTY THREE & 75/I00 ($5,243.75) DOLLARS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the
Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for a
speaker system for the Council Chambers to be received March 21, 1983; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the
contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the
Charter of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 2:00 p.m.,
Monday, March 21, 1983, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THERE-
FORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the
bid of Sterling Commercial Sound for a speaker system for Council Chambers for
the sum of Five Thousand Two Hundred Forty Three & 75/100 ($5,243.75) Dollars,
and authorizes payment thereof.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City
Council of the City of Baytown this the 14th day of April, 1983.
