Ordinance No. 3,59230414 -2 ORDINANCE NO. 3592 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF JAMES BOND & COMPANY FOR PROPERTY AND LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR THE CITY OF BAYTOWN; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST TO A CONTRACT WITH JAMES BOND & COMPANY; AUTHORIZING PAYMENTS OF PREMIUMS PURSUANT TO THE TERMS OF SAID CONTRACT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the Administration to advertise for bids to supply the City of Baytown with property and liability insurance coverage for the City of Baytown, said bids to be received March 21, 1983; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 5:00 o'clock p.m., Monday, March 21, 1983, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THERE- FORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby accepts the bid of James Bond & Company, providing for property and liability insurance coverage for the City of Baytown. Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with James Bond & Company and the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make payments of premiums pursuant to the terms of said contract, said base premium being $170,356.00. Section 3: This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
