ORDINANCE NO. 3487
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
ADDING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO COUNCIL DISTRICT NUMBER SIX
(6); REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 17 (1) of the Charter of the City of
Baytown provides that the City Council shall redistrict the City
if the growth of the City justifies; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed
territory described herein in a Council District; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
Section 1: Council District No. 6 is hereby redistricted by
the addition of certain property which is described on the
attached Exhibit "A ".
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in-
consistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed;
provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of
such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall
be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the
subject matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provision, section, exception, sub-
section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance
or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances,
shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void or invalid,
such validity shall not affect the validity of the remaining
provisions of this ordinance or their application to other
persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions
of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after
its passage and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish the
caption of this ordinance at least once in the official newspaper
of the City of Baytown.

City Council of the City of Baytown on this the 28th day of
October, 1982.

EXHIBIT "A"
FIELD NOTES FOR GOOSE CREEK. SHOPPING CENTER
BEING a parcel or tract of land containing 3.54 acres out of Block 19 of
Highland Farms Subdivision, Harris County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 10 at.
Page 47 of the I-lap Records of Harris County, and being a part of that certain
tract of land conveyed to William B. Ramsey by Bernard J. Murski and wife in
deed recorded in Volume 6918 at Page.462 of the Deed Records of Harris County,
Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the East right-of-way line of
Garth Road, as widened, with the North right -of -way line of Sharon Road,
said point marked with a 3/4" iron rod;
THENCE North 78° 26' 25" East with the'North right -of -way line of Sharon
Road a distance of 245' to a point called the POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE North 060 30' 30" west a distance of 434.34' along a line parallel
to the East right --of --way line of Garth Road, as widened;
THENCE North 780 26' 26" East with an old fence, a distance of 354.99' to
a 9" fence post marking the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE, South 06 °.30' 30" East a distance of 434.34` to an iron pipe lo-
cated in the North right -of -way line of Sharon Road marking the Southeast
corner of this tract;
THENCE South 78° 26' 26" West with the North right -of --way line of Sharon
Road a distance of 354.99' to the POINT OF BEGINNING, enclosing a tract of
land containing 3.54 acres, more or less.
