ORDINANCE NO. 3468
AN ORDINANCE AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT #82 -04 -02 TO ED
SHOOK BUILDING CONTRACTOR, INC. FOR THE SUM OF FOUR
THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SIXTY & NO 1100 ($4,960.12)
DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown's Community Development Program
did advertise for bids for Community Development Program Re-
habilitation Project #82 -04 -02 to be received August 31, 1982;
and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when
and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to
provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown,
and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at the
Community Development Office at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31,
1982 as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Ed Shook Building Contractor, Inc. for
the sum of Four Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty & No /100
($4,960.12) Dollars, for Community Development Rehabilitation
Project #82 -04 -02 being the repair and rehabilitation of 704
Yupon Street, providing that no money will be paid to the
Contractor until completion and acceptance of the work by the
Owner and the Baytown Community Development Program.
Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of
TEX.REV.CIV.STAT. art. 2368a, the City Manager is hereby granted
general authority to approve any change order involving a
decrease or an increase in costs of Five Thousand and No /100
($5,000.00) Dollars or less, provided that the original contract
price may not be increased by more than ten (10 %) percent or
decreased by more than twenty -five (25 %) percent without the
consent of the contractor to such decrease.

Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after
its passage.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
