Ordinance No. 3,400Published: The Baytown Sun 0610 -1 Tuesday, dune 15, 1982 Wednesday, June 16, 1982 ORDINANCE NO. 3400 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION OF SPUR 55 AS A TRUCK ROUTE; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PRESCRIBING A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF TWO HUNDRED AND N01100 ($200.00) DOLLARS FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, does declare the following described street to be a truck route, to -wit: Spur 55 between State Highway 146 and Cedar Bayou Stream Section 2: The Director of Planning and Traffic is autho- rized and directed to cause the proper signs to be posted at the above described location. Section 3: It shall be unlawful for a driver of a vehicle to disobey the instructions of the signs placed in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, unless at the time other- wise directed by a police officer. Section 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances incon- sistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed, provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and govern- ing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. Section 5: Any offense under this chapter for which another penalty is not provided is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than One ($1.00) Dollar nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars, except that minors who have passed their fourteenth birthday but have not reached their seventeenth birthday shall be punished by a fine of not 20610 -1a more than One Hundred & No /100 ($100.00) Dollars, and each violation shall constitute a separate offense. Section 5: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days after its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after the passage of this ordinance.
