Ordinance No. 3,389Published: The Baytown Sun 20513 -14 Tuesday, May 18, 1982 Wednesday, May 19, 1982 ORDINANCE NO. 3389 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE PLACING OF YIELD SIGNS ON ASH STREET AT MIRIAM STREET; PRESCRIBI14G A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF TWO HUNDRED AND N01100 ($200.00) DOLLARS FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF: AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, pursuant to the provisions of Article 6701d, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes and by the Traffic Commission, the following described intersection will become a yield intersection, to- wit: Ash Street at Miriam Street Section 2: The Director of Planning and Traffic is authorized and directed to cause the placing of yield signs at the above location. Section 3: It shall be unlawful for a driver of a ve- hicle to disobey the instructions of the signs placed in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, unless at the time otherwise directed by a police officer. Section 4: An offense under this chapter for which another penalty is not provided is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars, except that minors who have passed their fourteenth birthday but have not reached their seventeenth birthday shall be punished by a fine of not more than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars, and each violation, shall constitute a separate offense. 20513 -14a Section 5: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10)days after its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after the passage of this ordinance.
