ORDINANCE NO. 3282
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE VI, "ADMINISTRATIVE FEES
AND CHARGES ", OF CHAPTER 2, "ADMINISTRATION ", OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN SETTING NEW
FEES FOR DEATH & BIRTH CERTIFICATES; PROVIDING A REPEAL-
ING CLAUSE; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That Article VI, Administrative Fees &
Charges of Chapter 2, "Administration" of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Baytown is hereby amended by the
repeal of Subsection (e) of Section 2 -120, "Public records
and documents; fee schedule for copies', as presently constituted,
and by the adoption of a new Subsection (e) that shall read
as follows:
Section 2 -120. Public record and documents; fee
schedule for copies.
(e) Certified copies of birth certificates $5.00
Initial certified copies of death
certificates $5.00
Each additional copy in a single
request $2.00
Each search of the files where a
certificate of birth or death is not
found or a certified copy is not made. $5.00
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby
repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only
to the extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects
this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances
regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this
ordinance.
Section 3: If any provision, section, exception, sub-
section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of

circumstances, shall for any reason be held unconstitutional,
void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity
of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their
application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to
this end all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 4: The provisions of this ordinance shall
become effective beginning January 1, 1982.
