Ordinance No. 3,25611112 -8 ORDINANCE NO. 3256 AN ORDINANCE AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT NO. 81- 04 -03, TO ED SHOOK FOR THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED NINETY NINE & No /100 ($5,399.00) DOLLARS. WHEREAS, the City of Baytown's Community Development Program did advertise for bids for Community Development Program Rehabilitation Project No. 81 -04 -03 to be received, Thursday, November 5, 1981; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at the Community Development Office at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November, 5, 1981 as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of ED SHOOK for the sum of FIVE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED NINETY NINE & NO /100 ($5,399.00) Dollars for Community Development Rehabilitation Project No. 81 -04 -03 being the repair and rehabilitation of 1901 California Street providing that no money will be paid to said contractor until completion and acceptance of the work by the owner and Baytown Community Development Program. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of TEX.REV.CIV. STAT. art, 2368a, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of Five Thousand and No /100 ($5,000.00) Dollars or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than ten (10 %) percent or decreased by more than twenty -five (25 %) percent without the consent of the of the contractor to such decrease. 11112 -8a Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
