ORDINANCE NO. 3119 -A
AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 4.3 ACRES,
MORE OR LESS, ALSO KNOWN AS LONE STAR BANK, AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH
PUBLIC HEARING; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section l: On the 23rd day of April
1981, at 7 :00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber of
the City Hall of the City of Baytown, Texas, the City Council
will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the
right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by
the City of Baytown, Texas, of the following described
property, to -wit:
ALL that certain tract of land containing approximately
4.3 acres of land in Harris County, Texas being a part
of the James Williams Survey, Abstract No. 1472 and in
the W.C.R.R. Co. Survey No. 1, Abstract No. 889;
said tract being more fully described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the north R.O.W. of In-
terstate Highway No. 10 (I -10), said point being the
northwest corner of the existing city limit line of the
City of Baytown;
THENCE South 79 degrees 44 minutes 30 seconds West
along the North R.O.W. of I -10 a distance of 344.5 feet
to a point for a corner;
THENCE South 10 degrees 43 minutes 38 seconds East
a distance of 300 feet to the South R.O.W. line of I-
10;
THENCE South 10 degrees 43 minutes 38 seconds East
a distance of 248 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE North 79 degrees 44 minutes 30 seconds East
a distance of 344.5 feet along the South B.L. of the
Lone Star Bank tract to a point for a corner, said
point being the West B.L. of the San Jacinto Mall tract
and being in the West B.L. of the existing city limit
line of Baytown;
THENCE North 10 degrees 43 minutes 38 seconds West
along the West B.L. of said city limit line of Baytown
a distance of 548 feet to a point in the North R.O.W.
line of I -10 to the place of beginning.

Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is
hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such
public hearing to be published once in the newspaper having
general circulation in the City and in the above described
territory not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten
(10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in
accordance with the Munciiapl Annexation Act (Chapter 160,
Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled
as 970a Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended).
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage.

the City Council of the City of Baytown on this 9th day of
