ORDINANCE NO. 2931
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AND ATTEST TO A DEED TRANSFERRING PROPERTY ON
MINNESOTA STREET IN CONSIDERATION OF THE RECEIPT OF THE
SALES PRICE OF ELEVEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FIFTY -TWO
AND N01100 ($11,152.00) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, City property located at 3308 Minnesota Street
was advertised for sale in the local newspaper pursuant to
provisions of Section 73 of the Charter of the City of
Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City
Hall at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the value of such
property to be Eleven Thousand One Hundred Fifty -Two and
No /100 ($11,152.00) Dollars; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of John L. Orahood for the purchase
of city property located at 3308 Minnesota, being more fully
described as Lot 43, Block 1, East Baytown Addition, Baytown,
Harris County, Texas, for Eleven Thousand One Hundred Fifty -
Two and No /100 ($11,152.00) Dollars.
Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute and attest to a deed conveying said
property to John L. Orahood upon receipt of Eleven Thousand
One Hundred Fifty -Two and No /100 ($11,152.00) Dollars as the
sales price of the property.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
the City Council of the City of Baytown on this 10th day
of July , 1980.
