Ordinance No. 2,91200612 -5 ORDINANCE NO. 2912 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WHITE'S MINES FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN ESTIMATED QUANTITY OF PREMIX ROCK ASPHALT ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS, WITH THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO BE BASED UPON THE ACTUAL QUANTITY SUPPLIED. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of an estimated quantity of premix rock asphalt on a unit price basis to be received June 9, 1980; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 9:30 a.m., Monday, June 9, 1980, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of White's Mines for the purchase of premix rock asphalt in accordance with the invitation to bid and specifications of the City of Baytown as follows: ESTIMATED QUANTITY 1,500 tons DESCRIPTION UNIT PRICE premix rock asphalt ESTIMATED TOTAL PRICE $18.50 $27,750.00 with the compensation to be paid to be based upon the actual quantities supplied. 00612 -5a Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
