ORDINANCE NO. 2837
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BAYTOWN MOTORS, INC.
FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 3/4 TON PICKUP TRUCK AND AUTHORIZING
THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF THE SUM OF SIX THOUSAND NINE
HUNDRED NINETY -THREE AND 75/100 ($6,993.75) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did
authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown
to advertise for bids for the purchase of a 3/4 ton pickup
truck to be received February 20, 1980; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place,
when and where the contract would be let was published
pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the
City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City
Hall at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 21, 1980, as per
published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown
hereby accepts the bid of Baytown Motors, Inc, for the
purchase of a 3/4 ton pickup truck for the sum of Six Thousand
Nine Hundred Ninety -Three and 75/100 ($6,993.75) Dollars on
a delivery date of 90 days and authorizes payment of the sum
of Six Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety -Three and 75/100 ($6,993.75)
Dollars.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
the City Council on this 28th day of February, 1980.
