Ordinance No. 2,765C K] U El 120 -2 ORDINANCE NO. 2765 AN ORDINANCE SUSPENDING THE PROPOSED TARIFF AND SCHEDULE CHANGES OF HOUSTON LIGHTING AND POWER COMPANY. WHEREAS, Houston Lighting and Power Company has filed for a general rate increase; and WHEREAS, the City of Baytown has suspended.the operation of Houston Lighting and Power Company's proposed new schedule of rates until December 5, 1979; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing to determine the propriety of the rate change; and WHEREAS, the City finds that a longer time will be required for a final determination on the propriety of the rate change; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: The rate change proposed by Houston Lighting and Power Company is further suspended1for a period of an additional thirty (30) days beyond December 5, and during such suspension the rates-in force prior to the Houston Lighting and Power Company's proposed change shall continue in force and effect. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
