Ordinance No. 2,740® ORDINANCE NO. 2740 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, "BUILDINGS," OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN SETTING BUILDING PERMIT FEES; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That Chapter 7, "Buildings," of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Baytown is hereby amended by the repeal of Section 7 -6, Building Permit Fee Schedule, as presently constituted, and by the adoption of a new Section 7 -6 that shall read as follows: Sec. 7 -6. Building permit fee schedule. Any person, firm or corporation applying to the City of Baytown for a building permit shall pay to the city, prior to the issuance of said permit, a building permit fee as follows: (a) Permit fees for any building used for business or commercial purposes shall be based on the schedule contained in Sec. 107.4 and Appendix "K" of the Standard Building Code. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days after its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice ® within ten (10) days after its passage.
