ORDINANCE NO. 2732
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 27, "SUBDIVISIONS,"
SUBSECTION 27- 21.2(a) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF BAYTOWN TO PROVIDE FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR
APPROVAL OF PLATS; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Baytown is hereby amended by the amendment of Chapter 27,
"Subdivisions," by the repeal of subsection 27- 21.2(a) as
presently constituted and by the adoption of a new subsection
27- 21.2(a) which shall read as follows to wit:
Sec. 27 -21.2. Final approval (stage three).
(a) Within one hundred and eighty (180) days after preliminary
approval and within thirty (30) days of submission of the
final plan, the Commission shall examine such plat and
determine whether it conforms to all applicable criteria and
standards and whether it conforms in all substantial respects
to the previously approved plat.

Section 3: If any provision, section, exception, sub-
section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of
circumstances, shall for any reason be held unconstitutional,
void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the valid-
ity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their
application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to

this end all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
® severable.
Section 4:. This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage.
