AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF BAYTOWN CLASSIFICATION
AND SALARY PLAN TO GRANT EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE PAY TO
FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL WITH MASTER FIRE FIGHTER
CERTIFICATES AND PUBLIC WORKS PERSONNEL WITH GRADE A
WATER AND /OR WASTEWATER CERTIFICATES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the City of Baytown Classification and
Salary Plan is hereby amended by the addition of Schedule
IV, Educational Incentive Pay, a copy of said schedule being
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof
for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage.

EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE PAY
The City of Baytown shall pay educational incentive pay as designated by
the City Council for the below listed state certifications. This pay will
be payed only to those classifications which are Council approved.
DEPARTMENT: Police
CERTIFICATE PAY QUALIFICATIONS
1) Intermediate.Police $30 /month As prescribed by the Texas
Commission on Law Enforce -
2) Advanced Police $60 /month ment Officer Standards and
Education.-
DEPARTMENT: Fire
CERTIFICATE PAY QUALIFICATIONS
1) Intermediate Firefighter $30 /month As prescribed by the Texas
Commission on Fire Protection
2) Advanced Firefighter $60 /month Personnel Standards and Educa-
tion.
3) Master Firefighter $90 /month
