Ordinance No. 2,517ORDINANCE NO. 2517 1OS 10- 5 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF DON BUTLER AS LEGAL CONSULTANT IN THE HOUSTON LIGHT AND POWER RURAL RATE CASE AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF NOT MORE THAN $2,200.00 FOR SUCH PURPOSE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown has decided that the City should intervene in the rate hearings of Houston Lighting and Power before the Public Utility Commission, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council hereby authorizes the employment of Don Butler as the City's legal consultant. Section 2: That the City Council hereby authorizes payment of a fee to Don Butler of $.05 per person residing in Baytown, as determined by the 1970 U. S. Census, with the maximum fee to be $2,200.00. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immedia- tely from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
