Ordinance No. 2,480KILO ORDINANCE NO. 2480 80608 -2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF BAYTOWN ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR ITEM NO. 2, SIGNAL ENGINEERING COMPANY FOR ITEM NOS. 3, 4, AND 5, AND CLIFFORD OF VERMONT FOR ITEM NO. 6 OF BAYTOWN BID NO. 785 -65 FOR INSTALLATION AND PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMENT AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY FOR EACH ITEM. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown did authorize the administration of the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase and installation of traffic signal equipment; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 o'clock a.m., Friday, May 26, 1978, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Baytown Electric Company for the installation of traffic signal equipment, Item No. 2, and authorizes payment of One Hundred Eighty -Three Thousand Twenty -Seven and 87/100 ($183,027.87) Dollars. Section 2: That the City Council hereby accepts the bid of Signal Engineering Company for the purchase of traffic signal equipment, Item Nos. 3, 4, and 5, and authorizes payment as follows: Item 3 $79,859.90 Item 4 33,308.80 Item 5 56,560.22 W ( Section 3: That the City Council hereby accepts the 80608 -2a bid of Clifford of Vermont for the purchase of multi- conductor cable, Item No. 6, and authorizes payment of Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty -Nine and 70/100 ($9,859.70) Dollars. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
